More than a song link: comments, music stories and sharing
Sometimes “listen to this” is not enough. You want to explain the lyric that stayed with you, the person a song reminds you of, or why it belongs to a particular night. That is a conversation about music, not just another playlist.
Features and controls can vary by app version and platform. Full-song playback requires Apple Music; regional availability applies.
Make the story specific
Start with something only you can say: “This was playing on my first evening in a new city,” or “The chorus sounds different to me after a long week.” These are writing prompts, not testimonials or real posts from Tinyo users.
You do not need to write a review or rate the artist. A short observation can help another listener hear the same track differently. Avoid sharing someone else’s private details or posting lyrics you do not have permission to reproduce.
Leave a song comment in Tinyo
- Open the comments from the song’s player in Tinyo.
- Write your own thought and submit it. Comments are reviewed before public display; submission does not mean immediate publication.
- Use the available report or block controls when content or an interaction is not appropriate. You can also delete your own comment.
Favorites, public song votes and comment likes serve different purposes. In versions with community voting, the song heart saves a favorite and casts a public song vote; removing it withdraws the vote. Previously saved favorites are not automatically counted, and liking a comment does not save its song.
Choose the audience for the story
A public song comment is for other listeners. A private message to a friend is for that conversation. Sharing a Tinyo song card or link does not automatically publish a comment, include your listening history, or send your personal story.
If you want a friend to hear both the song and your explanation, share the song and add your own message in the receiving app. Check the message or post before sending: some apps accept pictures, others links, and not every app keeps both.
Community without inventing popularity
A quiet comment section is still a place to start a conversation. There is no need to wait for a big count to write something thoughtful. The social counts on the Tinyo homepage are explicitly labelled interface examples, not evidence that a particular song has that many active listeners.
Tinyo is an independent app built around Apple Music playback, discovery and lightweight interaction. It does not claim that Apple Music has no sharing features, nor that every song will have an active discussion. Try the experience for the conversations and discoveries that matter to you.
